Sometimes it’s the students that do the teaching. Case and point…
Our class was designing a game to play during our gym class. They were working in small groups. One little boy was in a group with two girls and sat patiently listening to the girls talk back and forth about how the game should work. When they had finished talking, heagreed with one girl and gave a suggestion to the other girl about how the idea could work better.
They presented their game to the class and I asked the little boy to explain his fantastic listening strategy. His response, “My dad told me when a woman is talking, it’s best to let her finish.”
He got an A.
